Aanvullende informatie

The XI Central American and Caribbean Games were held in Santiago de los Caballeros in 1986 — the first time the Dominican Republic had hosted the event. This coin was issued to mark that occasion, one of the country's more significant moments in regional sports diplomacy during a decade when the Balaguer government used cultural and sporting infrastructure as political currency.

KM#65a distinguishes this copper-nickel striking from the base 65 type, indicating a composition change mid-series rather than a wholly new issue.
