Obverse description The full Dominican national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield supported by a laurel branch to the left and a palm branch to the right, all without the memorial legend found on standard circulation issues. A ribbon above the shield bears the national motto in three segments, and a second ribbon below carries the country name. The design is rendered in high relief against a flat field, bounded by a continuous beaded border.
