Reverse description The reverse presents facing busts of Fidel Castro and Ernest Hemingway in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. Castro appears on the left in military dress, bearded, facing slightly right; Hemingway is depicted on the right, also bearded, facing slightly left, so that the two effigies appear in near-confrontation. The arc legend 50 ANIVERSARIO curves along the upper periphery. In the lower exergual area, a multi-line inscription reads ENCUENTRO / DE Fidel Castro Y / Ernest Hemingway / 1960-2010, commemorating the 50th anniversary of their historic meeting. The date 2010 and a small mint mark appear to the right of the effigies.
