The surface exhibits the distinctive porous texture inherent to the sand-casting process, with raised radial rays emanating from a central point. Host coin legends and devices are generally worn or partially absorbed into the cast surface. The flan diameter and weight vary considerably depending on the host coin used, with recorded host years spanning 1824 to 1897. This piece carries the Buelna/Carrasco countermark authorizing its circulation as a Revolutionary emergency issue in Sinaloa. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse, like the obverse, is the product of the sand-casting process using a Mexican 8 Reales (KM#377) as the mold host, resulting in a similarly textured surface with residual radiate design elements and a porous, granular field. The casting technique produces an irregular flan with no sharply defined legends or devices. Some examples bear an additional G.C. countermark as noted under KM#768.2. The overall appearance reflects the emergency wartime production methods employed by Sinaloa revolutionary forces in 1915. |
