A central vignette in the upper portion presents a steamship at sea, flanked on each side by oval guilloche panels bearing the numeral "1". To the lower left, a seated indigenous figure appears in an allegorical vignette. The issuer's name "EL BANCO LANIERI" is set in bold letterpress across the centre, above the denomination text and a manuscript signature, with the place and date "VICTORIA NOVIEMBRE 1871" along the lower margin. |
