Opmerkingen

Banco Domingo Garbino was a private commercial bank operating in the Argentine interior during the brief, chaotic period of provincial free banking that followed independence. The boliviana denomination places this note squarely in the transitional monetary moment when Bolivia's peso boliviano circulated alongside Argentine provincial currencies across the northwestern trade routes — an arrangement of practical necessity, not formal policy.

PS#1801A2 is among the rarest documented emissions from any Argentine private bank of the period. The house of Garbino issued no long series; the bank did not survive into the era of national currency consolidation that followed the 1880s monetary reforms.
