Reverse description A replica of the reverse of the original 1813 Provinces of the Río de la Plata coin, centred on the May Sun (Sol de Mayo) displaying 32 alternating straight and wavy rays radiating from a plain circular centre, struck in the aluminium-bronze inner disc. The surrounding copper-nickel ring bears the circular legend 'UN PESO PROVINCIAS DEL RIO DE LA PLATA' with the commemorative dual date '1813-2013' completing the inscription, honouring the bicentenary of Argentina's first national coinage.
