| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring the traditional escutcheon with a key, a royal palm, and a fasces, surmounted by the Phrygian cap. The dates 1897 and 1987 flank the portrait in the lower field, with the notation emisión original appearing to the left of the effigy. A continuous beaded border frames the entire design. |
