Beschrijving voorzijde	Black on red underprint. At left, a pastoral lithographic vignette of a man and woman watering horses at a trough, in the late 19th-century Colombian style; at upper right, an ornate guilloche cartouche encloses the numeral "1". The date "30 de Septiembre de 1900" and place of issue "Bogotá" appear at lower right, beneath signature lines for the Ministro de Tesoro and Miembros de la Junta de Emisión, with a red control stamp and serial number at left.

Beschrijving keerzijde	Printed in purple. The centre is dominated by a large ornate guilloche medallion with radiating lathe-work patterns and a decorative foliate finial, with the numeral "1" at its centre and "UNO" inscribed on flanking panels. The composition is enclosed within a dense guilloche border incorporating repeated "UNO" and "1 PESO" lettering, with corner medallions each bearing the numeral "1"; the printer's imprint "Litografía Nacional, Bogotá" appears at the foot.
