| Obverse description | Three-quarter facing draped and epauleted military bust of Simón Bolívar, Liberator of Colombia, occupying the central field, rendered in bold relief with fine detailing of his uniform and epaulettes. Two small five-pointed stars flank the lower portion of the bust at the periphery. The curved legend REPUBLICA DE COLOMBIA runs along the upper rim, while the date appears in the exergue below the effigy. A small mint mark is visible at the lower left of the bust. |
