| Obverse description | The Dominican national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield charged with a cross, open Bible, and crossed lances and flags, flanked to the left by an olive branch and to the right by a palm frond. A ribbon banner above the shield bears the motto DIOS PATRIA LIBERTAD, while a second scrolled ribbon below carries the legend REPUBLICA DOMINICANA. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. The composition follows the heraldic design engraved by Casimiro Nemesio de Moya. |
