正面描述 Allegorical female figure of the Republic seated at left, rendered in intaglio, holding a staff and resting beside a shield and a child figure at her feet, all against a fine guilloche underprint. The denomination 'Un Peso' appears in large script lettering at centre, with 'República Argentina' and 'La Nación pagará al portador y a la vista' in ornate letterpress above. At bottom, the authorising law reference 'Ley de 20 de Septiembre de 1897' and 'Caja de Conversión' are printed, with two manuscript signatures for Secretario and Presidente below.

备注

Argentina's Caja de Conversión was established in 1890 specifically to manage the conversion of paper pesos into gold at a fixed rate — though that convertibility was suspended almost immediately and only restored in 1899. These notes were issued during the brief window of genuine gold convertibility that lasted until 1914, when the First World War forced suspension again. The 1906–1908 dates place this note squarely in that fragile interval of monetary credibility.

The P#235B designation indicates a variety distinction within the series — likely a signature combination difference from the base 235 type.
