正面描述 The issuer's name in bilingual form arches across the top of the note. A central vignette presents a portrait of Méndez Capote, framed by intricate guilloche work. The face value appears in numerals on both lateral margins, with the denomination spelled out in full below the portrait vignette; the primary design is printed in black, with serial numbers in red.

背面描述 A central vignette presents the Castillo de los Tres Reyes del Morro fortress, rendered in green intaglio. The issuer's name in Spanish appears above the vignette and in English below it, while the face value in numerals flanks the central image on both sides.

备注

The Banco Nacional de Cuba was established in 1901 under the U.S. occupation government, part of a broader effort to stabilize Cuban finances following the war with Spain. Its early note issues were entirely dependent on American printing infrastructure — the ABNC held essentially a monopoly on prestige banknote production for Caribbean and Latin American clients at this period, and the relationship was as much political as commercial.

P#65 is scarce in any grade. The bank itself was reorganized and ultimately dissolved by 1921, and low-denomination notes from the 1905 series suffered heavy attrition in circulation.
