| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black on a pink-tinted ground, with a central oval vignette of a classical female figure in profile, rendered in intaglio. The upper portion carries the denomination legend "UN PESO" repeated on both sides, while the centre bears the issuing bank's promise-to-pay text and the place and date of issue "Medellin, Oct. 30 de 189...". A Colombian flag vignette appears in the lower-left corner, surrounded by guilloche border panels listing the names of founding shareholders.
