Obverse description	The obverse is executed in a dark blue-grey intaglio style with an allegorical female figure in classical dress occupying the left vignette, set against an ornate guilloche framework. The bank title 'El Banco Comercial de Guatemala' appears in large decorative letterpress across the upper portion, with the serial number printed in red at upper right. The denomination 'UN PESO' is inscribed within a central cartouche, accompanied by the bearer clause 'Pagará al portador en moneda efectiva', with the place and date of issue, 'Guatemala', and signature lines for 'Directores' and 'Gerente' along the lower margin.

Reverse description	The reverse is printed in a single dark brown tone with an elaborate symmetrical guilloche pattern filling the entire field. The overall design conveys a dense, engine-turned geometric composition typical of late nineteenth-century security printing.
