| Obverse description | Printed in dark brown and black, the obverse bears the arched title BANCO NACIONAL DE CHILE across the top, with the word UNO repeated in a continuous border pattern on all four sides. The central field is dominated by an intaglio portrait vignette of a nobleman in period attire with a ruff collar, flanked to the left by a bull's head vignette and to the right by the Chilean coat of arms. The denomination UN PESO appears twice in the lower central field, accompanied by manuscript place and date of issue, and three signature lines below. |
