备注

The Junta de la Administración de la Casa de Moneda — the administrative body overseeing the Buenos Aires mint — was functioning less as a traditional mint by 1841 and more as a de facto provincial bank, issuing paper against a metallic reserve that was, in practice, severely depleted. The province had been running a forced paper currency since the 1820s, and the peso moneda corriente had long decoupled from any reliable specie backing.

PS#377 places this firmly in the provincial emission series predating the Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires reorganization. These notes circulated almost exclusively within Buenos Aires province; the interior provinces often refused them outright.
