Obverse description Black border frame enclosing a blue center field with a wide diagonal pink underprint stripe running across the note. The bank seal of the Banco Central de Chile is positioned at right. Typeset and letterpress text identifies the note as a provisional issue, with the date of 12 September 1932 and a statement of gold convertibility.

Reverse description Printed in green, the reverse is dominated by a central guilloche rosette with interlocking geometric lathe-work, at the center of which the denomination lettering appears in large bold type. A fine geometric grid underprint fills the surrounding field, with the issuer name repeated in the border inscription at top and bottom.
