正面描述 Typeset letterpress note printed entirely in dark green ink on cream card stock. A single-line rectangular border frames the face, with a small decorative element composed of horizontal rules and a vertical bar in the upper left corner. The denomination text 'Vale por UNA peseta' appears in large bold lettering in the lower half, separated from the issuer name 'Hispano del Bergantes ZORITA' by a solid downward-pointing triangle used as a divider.

备注

Zorita is a small municipality in the province of Cáceres, Extremadura — squarely within the Republican zone during the early stages of the Civil War. The note belongs to the wave of emergency municipal issues that flooded Republican Spain in 1937, when the withdrawal and hoarding of metallic coin left local economies functionally paralyzed. Hundreds of ayuntamientos improvised their own fractional currency, often printed on whatever card stock was locally available, with no central authorization and wildly inconsistent quality control.

The Gari Mon catalog reference places this among the rarer provincial emissions. Survival rates for these municipal pieces are uneven — small towns produced small runs, and most circulated hard before disappearing entirely.
