| 备注 |
Villacarrillo is a small olive-growing municipality in Jaén province, Andalusia, and like hundreds of Spanish towns it issued its own emergency fractional currency during the Civil War after the Republic's coinage disappeared from circulation almost overnight in 1936. These local issues — generically called "billetes locales" or sometimes "moneda fiduciaria municipal" — were produced under desperate improvised conditions, often on whatever paper stock the town hall could source, with printing quality that varied enormously even within a single series.
The Gari Montllor catalogue remains the standard reference for this material, though attributions for the smaller municipalities are sometimes contested.
