| 备注 |
Villacañas is a small municipality in the province of Toledo, and like hundreds of Spanish towns it issued its own emergency paper money during the Civil War — these local issues, collectively known as billetes locales or papel moneda de necesidad, filled the void left by hoarded coinage after 1936. The Gari Monerris catalogue remains the primary reference for this material, and the C suffix on #1593 indicates a variant within the Villacañas 1 Peseta series, likely distinguishable by a signature, seal, or paper difference from sibling types.
Survival rates for these small-town issues vary wildly. Many were printed in tiny quantities, used briefly, and never redeemed.
