| 正面描述 | Printed in dark blue ink by letterpress, the note carries the full text of the municipal obligation within a geometric border frame, with the issuer name underlined as a typographic emphasis. The central body of text sets out the council's acknowledgement of the bearer's entitlement, surrounded by a ruled rectangular perimeter with corner ornaments. All lettering is in Catalan, with the denomination repeated in both upper and lower case for clarity. |

Vila-sana is a small municipality in the Pla d'Urgell comarca of Lleida, and like hundreds of Catalan and Spanish towns during the Civil War, its ajuntament issued its own paper fractional currency when Republican-zone coinage essentially ceased to circulate after 1936. The central government's inability to supply small change forced local bodies — councils, cooperatives, unions — to fill the gap themselves, producing an enormous variety of emergency notes with almost no formal oversight.
Turró's catalog documents over three thousand such issues. The sheer volume of municipalities involved means many of these notes survive in very small quantities, with some known from only a handful of examples.
