| Obverse description | Left-facing bust of George Washington, first President of the United States (1789–1797), occupies the central field. The legend "ISLA DE PUERTO RICO" arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination "UNA PESETA" and the date "2009" appear along the lower periphery.
