| Anmerkungen |
Tragó de Noguera is a village in the Noguera comarca of Lleida, Catalonia, with a population that barely exceeded a few hundred during the 1930s. This note is one of the emergency local currency issues — paper money (moneda local) produced by Catalan municipalities during the Spanish Civil War after the collapse of normal coin circulation following the July 1936 uprising. Thousands of Spanish towns and villages issued their own fractional currency during this period; the smaller the issuer, the scarcer the surviving notes today.
Turró's catalog remains the definitive reference for these Catalan civil war issues.
