Tous d'Anoia is a small municipality in the Anoia comarca of Catalonia, and like hundreds of other Catalan and Spanish towns, it issued its own emergency fractional currency during the Civil War years of 1936–1939. The central banking system had effectively collapsed at the local level, and municipalities were left to print their own scrip to cover everyday transactions — coins had vanished from circulation almost immediately after July 1936.
The Turró reference places this firmly within that documented corpus of Catalan local issues, catalogued by Amadeu Turró i Martínez.
