Tous d'Anoia is a small municipality in the comarca of Anoia, inland Catalonia. This note belongs to the vast ecosystem of local emergency currency — moneda local — that proliferated across Republican-held Spain after July 1936, when the military uprising disrupted coin supply and small-denomination change effectively vanished from circulation. Hundreds of Catalan ajuntaments printed their own fractional notes, most surviving in tiny quantities simply because the issuing populations were tiny.
Turró catalogues this as #2589 — deep into a numbering scheme that itself reflects how widespread the phenomenon was.
