Sueca, a rice-growing municipality in Valencia's Albufera region, issued local emergency currency during the Spanish Civil War — the originals date to 1937 and were produced under the chaotic conditions typical of Republican-zone municipal finance. This 2003 piece is a facsimile commissioned by the Consell Municipal decades later, almost certainly for a commemorative or cultural occasion, printed by the FNMT in Madrid on watermarked paper to lend it a degree of authenticity.
The FNMT's involvement gives the reproduction better technical credentials than most municipal facsimiles, but it remains a collector's item with no monetary function.
