Santa Cruz de los Cáñamos is a small municipality in the province of Ciudad Real, Castilla-La Mancha. This note belongs to the vast category of Spanish Civil War emergency local currency — the billetes de necesidad — issued by municipal councils when the Republic's central supply of small change collapsed after July 1936.
