1 Peseta Pla del Cadí

Pla del Cadí is a small municipality in the Alt Urgell comarca of Catalonia, and like hundreds of other Catalan and Spanish towns, it issued its own emergency paper money during the Civil War after the Republic's central coin supply collapsed in 1936–1937. These hyper-local emissions — collectively cataloged under the generic term "billetes locales" — were produced with whatever printing resources the issuing council could access, which for a village of this size typically meant a job printer with limited typographic capability.

Turró remains the authoritative reference for Catalan municipal issues; the #1852 designation places this squarely within that documented series, though surviving population figures for most Alt Urgell emissions are not formally established.
