Peramola is a small municipality in the Alt Urgell comarca of Lleida province, and like hundreds of Catalan and Spanish towns during the Civil War, it issued its own emergency paper money when the national coinage supply collapsed after 1936. These local issues — collectivized under Republican authority — were typically printed in small runs by whatever regional press was available. Imprenta Sol in Lleida served numerous nearby municipalities during this period, producing notes that vary considerably in print quality from one commission to the next.

Turró catalogs this as #1808, placing it within a well-documented but still incompletely surveyed body of wartime municipal issues from the province.
