| 备注 |
Palafrugell is a small coastal municipality in the Baix Empordà comarca of Catalonia, and this 1 Peseta note is one of hundreds of emergency paper issues that flooded Republican-held Spain during the Civil War after the hoarding of metallic coinage created a severe shortage of small change. The Generalitat de Catalunya authorized municipalities to print their own local currency — moneda local — from 1936 onward, and Palafrugell was among the many town councils that complied.
Turró 1740 places it within a well-documented but enormous series. Survival rates vary wildly across municipal issues; smaller towns with limited print runs often produced notes that circulated hard and were rarely preserved.
