Beschrijving voorzijde Letterpress-printed in black on plain paper, the note is framed by a simple geometric rectangular border enclosing a typeset layout characteristic of Spanish Civil War municipal emergency issues. The coat of arms of the Spanish Republic is positioned to the left as the primary vignette, flanked by denomination figures and issuing authority text arranged in a straightforward compositing style. The overall design reflects the austere, utilitarian production methods typical of wartime local currency.

Opmerkingen

Motilla del Palancar is a small inland town in Cuenca province, and like hundreds of Republican municipalities during the Civil War, it issued its own fractional paper when coinage vanished from circulation entirely — hoarded, melted, or simply gone. These local emergency emissions, known collectively as billetes locales, were authorized under Republican decree but produced under wildly variable conditions, often by local printers with whatever stock was available.

The Gari Montserrat reference remains unassigned, which typically indicates the note was catalogued too late or from too few known examples to receive a full number. Survivorship for issues from small Castilian municipalities is genuinely poor.
