| 备注 |
Montmeló was a small municipality northeast of Barcelona, and like hundreds of Catalan towns during the Civil War, its ajuntament issued fractional paper currency in 1937 to address the near-total disappearance of metallic coin from circulation. The Republican government had authorized local emergency issues, but oversight was loose — design quality, print runs, and redemption mechanisms varied enormously from one town to the next.
Turró catalogs this as #1586, placing it within the dense mid-series range of documented Catalan municipal emissions. Survival rates for these small-denomination wartime locals are unpredictable; many were redeemed and pulped, others simply discarded when Franco's peseta displaced them after 1939.
