1 Peseta Mancha Real

Mancha Real is a small municipality in the province of Jaén, Andalusia, and like hundreds of Spanish towns it resorted to issuing its own emergency paper fractional currency during the Civil War after the Republican government's coin shortage left local commerce essentially paralyzed from 1936 onward. These municipal notes — collectively catalogued under the broader "billetes locales" phenomenon — were produced under improvised conditions, often on whatever printing equipment or even hand-stamped stock the local council could access.

The Gari Montllor reference places this squarely within that documented series of Jaén province emissions, though survival rates for individual municipalities vary enormously. Mancha Real examples are not frequently traded.
