备注

Madridejos is a small municipality in the province of Toledo, and like hundreds of Spanish towns during the Civil War, it issued its own emergency fractional currency when the Republic's small change effectively vanished from circulation in 1936–37. These local emissions were authorized under a framework that gave municipalities and other local bodies the right to produce their own notes, resulting in thousands of distinct types across Republican-held territory.

The Gari Montserrat catalog remains the primary reference for these emissions. Survival rates vary wildly by town — some issues circulated hard and are nearly impossible to find intact; others were printed in excess and survived in quantity.
