The issuer's name appears at the top in letterpress, underlined by a double rule, with a serial number below; the denomination "Val 1 pesseta" is printed in large bold type at centre, followed by the mandatory-circulation legend. | 备注 |
Lluçà is a tiny municipality in the Osona comarca of Catalonia, and like hundreds of similarly small towns, it issued its own emergency paper money during the Spanish Civil War under the decree authorizing local authorities to produce small-denomination notes to address the acute shortage of coin. These billetes locales were produced in enormous variety across Catalonia from 1936 onward, most printed with minimal equipment and intended only for hyperlocal circulation.
The Turró catalog documents over 1,400 such issues; this note's reference number places it deep in that sequence. Given Lluçà's population — historically under a few hundred — surviving examples are scarce simply because so few were ever printed.
