La Puebla de Roda is a small municipality in the Ribagorza comarca of Huesca province, Aragon. Like hundreds of Spanish towns, it issued its own emergency paper money during the Civil War after the Republic's decree of 1936 effectively authorized local authorities to produce small-denomination notes to address the near-total disappearance of metallic coinage from circulation. These hyper-local issues were often printed on whatever stock was available, sometimes stamped rather than properly printed, and survive today in tiny quantities simply because the issuing communities were small and production runs were minimal.
The Gari Moneo reference for this note remains unassigned, suggesting it either post-dates the catalog's coverage or was recorded without a full attribution — not uncommon for Aragonese village issues from this period.
