Opmerkingen

Castel de Cabra is a village in the Teruel province of Aragon that, at its early twentieth-century peak, held fewer than a thousand inhabitants. During the Spanish Civil War, the Republican government's inability to maintain adequate supplies of small-denomination coinage drove municipalities of almost any size to print their own emergency paper — these are the billetes locales, and Castel de Cabra produced them along with hundreds of other towns across Republican-held territory.

The Garrido reference catalogs two varieties for this denomination; the B suffix here indicates the second type, distinguishing it from an earlier emission by some detail of printing or authorization text.
