| 备注 |
Benisanó is a small agricultural municipality in Valencia with a population that barely exceeded a few hundred during the Republic — which makes the existence of a formally issued local emergency note more striking than it might first appear. The Civil War disrupted coin supply throughout Republican-held Spain so severely that hundreds of town councils, cooperatives, and even individual businesses printed their own fractional currency. This note is one of those interventions: a municipal council filling a gap the central government could not.
The official stamp serves as the primary authentication device, which was entirely typical for Valencian municipal emissions of 1937 and also their principal vulnerability — forgery required nothing more than a convincing rubber stamp.
