Opmerkingen

Beniarbeig is a small agricultural municipality in the Marina Alta comarca of Alicante province, and like hundreds of similarly sized Spanish towns it issued its own emergency paper money during the Civil War after the Republic's central coinage supply collapsed in 1936–37. The Consejo Municipal — effectively the wartime local authority — authorized these notes to keep basic commerce functioning when metal fractional currency had entirely vanished from circulation.

Imp. F. Cuquerella was a local Valencian printer responsible for a significant number of these municipal emissions across the region. The "PcG" designation in the printer credit likely indicates a specific production run or workshop variant tracked by Gari's census of Republican local issues.
