| 备注 |
During the Spanish Civil War, hundreds of Catalan municipalities issued their own fractional paper currency after the gold and silver coinage disappeared from circulation almost immediately following the July 1936 uprising. Benavent de Segrià, a small agricultural town in the Lleida plain, was no exception. These municipal emissions — collectively known as "moneda local de guerra" — were authorized under Republican decree but produced entirely at local expense, which meant quality varied enormously from one town to the next.
Turró's catalogue remains the essential reference for this material, and at number 405, this note sits in the middle of a sprawling series that runs to well over a thousand distinct emissions from Catalonia alone.
