正面描述 Letterpress-printed note in green ink, enclosed within a geometric rectangular border. The coat of arms of the Spanish Republic is centrally placed, dividing the issuer name into two lines. The text block below carries the legal tender declaration and the authorising session date, all set in plain typeface typical of wartime municipal emergency issues.

备注

Azanuy is a village in the Huesca province of Aragon — population in the hundreds — and like dozens of similarly small Republican municipalities in 1937, it issued its own emergency paper fractional currency when coinage effectively vanished from circulation. The phenomenon was widespread enough that Aragon alone produced hundreds of distinct local emissions during the Civil War years, most in tiny quantities and on whatever paper stock was available.

Survival rates for these village notes are erratic. Some municipalities printed so few that even a single circulated example is genuinely uncommon; others surface with surprising regularity. Azanuy's emission sits in Garrió's catalog at reference 210-C, suggesting variant classification within the series.
