Opmerkingen

Archs is a small municipality in the comarca of Alt Camp, Tarragona. This note was issued by its local Junta Administrativa during the Spanish Civil War, when the collapse of small-denomination coinage across the Republican zone forced thousands of municipalities, cooperatives, and trade unions to print their own emergency fractional currency — known collectively as moneda local or papel moneda de guerra. Most of these issues were printed on whatever cardstock was available locally, which is exactly what the composition reflects here.

Turró 182 is among the scarcer Alt Camp municipal emissions. Survival rates for small-run wartime cardboard issues from rural Catalan towns are low — the notes were repudiated after the war, and many were simply discarded.
