| Obverse description | Bare-headed youthful effigy of King Alfonso XIII as a child, facing left, with finely detailed curly hair rendered in high relief. The engraver's initials 'G.S.' appear incuse below the truncation of the neck. The circular legend reads 'ALFONSO XIII POR LA G. DE DIOS' around the upper field, with the four-pointed star mintmarks flanking the date '1893' positioned at the base of the design. The portrait is engraved by Gregorio Sellán González in a naturalistic style reflecting the king's childhood appearance. The whole design is contained within a dentillated border. |
