| 备注 |
Ababuj is a village in the Teruel highlands that, in 1937, had a population well under a few hundred people. Like dozens of similarly isolated Republican-held municipalities across Aragon, the Consejo Municipal issued its own emergency fractional currency after the Civil War disrupted the supply of small-change coins — a problem that plagued the Republican zone throughout the conflict.
The official stamp is the only authentication device, which was entirely typical of these hyper-local emissions. Counterfeiting them was hardly worth the effort given how geographically restricted their acceptance was.
