| Obverse description | Central oval guilloche frame enclosing the denomination numeral '1' in large red print on either side, with the Cyrillic text 'ЈЕДАН ПЕРПЕР' in bold across the middle. A vignette at the top centre displays the Montenegrin royal arms flanked by two small cartouches inscribed 'КРАЉЕВИН ЦРНАГОРА'.
