The face is rendered with chin and side whiskers composed of small pellets, and single or parallel crescents denoting hair to the left and right of the face. The circumferential legend reads HENRICVS REX in Lombardic letters, frequently exhibiting malformed or irregular letterforms characteristic of the class 4b coinage.
