The lettering is rendered in bold serif capitals arranged radially around a plain, unadorned central field. The overall composition is characteristic of the colonial Australian tradesman's token style as produced by W.J. Taylor of London. |

| Descripción del reverso | The reverse displays an heraldic arms associated with the Australian colonies, supported by a kangaroo to the dexter and an emu to the sinister, both rendered in naturalistic relief. The quartered shield at centre depicts a bull, a sheaf of wheat, a sailing vessel, and a fleece or ram, surmounted by a radiant rising sun. A ribbon scroll beneath the supporters bears the motto ADVANCE AUSTRALIA. The legend PEACE & PLENTY is inscribed in large raised serif capitals along the left arc of the beaded border, with the remainder of the field devoted to the heraldic composition. |
