| Mô tả mặt sau | A saltire cross (St. Andrew's cross) extends to the periphery of the flan, dividing the reverse field into four quarters. A royal crown occupies the uppermost quarter, while fleurs-de-lis are placed in the two lateral quarters, all devices rendered in relief in the characteristic hammered style. The lower quarter is largely plain. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design, referencing the town of Edinburgh as the place of issue. The irregular flan edges and variable strike depth are consistent with hand-hammered production at the Edinburgh mint. |
