| Beschrijving keerzijde | Long voided cross pattée extending to the coin's inner beaded circle, dividing the field into four quadrants each containing a crosslet or fleur-de-lis ornament, a hallmark of the Short Cross coinage design. A beaded inner circle frames the cross motif, while the moneyer and mint legend occupies the outer field. The overall design is crisp and well-centred, consistent with London Mint production of the class 6a period. The reverse follows the standard Short Cross type introduced under Henry II and continued through the reigns of Richard I, John, and Henry III. |
